BraveStep

Overview

BraveStep is an iOS app by Chengdu DiverAxis Technology Co., Ltd. ("DiverAxis Tech", "we", "us", or "our"). BraveStep is a parent-focused support app for families navigating selective mutism. It helps caregivers turn daily practice into small, low-pressure steps and keep support information organized on their own device.

This policy explains how BraveStep handles information. The current version of BraveStep is designed to work without DiverAxis Tech account registration and without uploading your personal app data to DiverAxis Tech servers.

BraveStep is not a medical device, does not diagnose selective mutism or any other condition, and does not provide treatment recommendations. It is a record keeping and support tool intended to help families work more clearly with teachers, clinicians, and other qualified professionals.

Information stored on your device

BraveStep may store app data locally on your device, such as communication contexts, gradual exposure goals, child expression preferences, practice notes, weekly progress summaries, reminders, app preferences, and other information you choose to enter or save inside the app.

Local app data remains on your device unless you choose to share it, export it, include it in an iOS backup, or use device-level services controlled by Apple. DiverAxis Tech does not receive local app data from your device through the current version of BraveStep.

BraveStep may help parents, teachers, and professionals discuss a child's support plan more clearly, but any sharing or export is controlled by you. Please avoid sharing sensitive child information with others unless you are comfortable doing so and it is appropriate for your family or professional support context.

Local notifications, if enabled, are used only to provide reminders on your device. You can manage notification permissions in iOS Settings.

Information we collect

We do not require you to create an account to use BraveStep. We do not sell personal information, and the current version of BraveStep does not use advertising tracking.

If you contact us by email for support, feedback, or a privacy request, we may receive your email address, the content of your message, and any information you choose to include. We use this information only to respond to you and handle your request.

Apple may provide developers with crash reports, diagnostics, or usage information when users choose to share that information with app developers through Apple settings. Such information is controlled by Apple and is used to improve app reliability.

If BraveStep offers paid features or subscriptions, payments are processed by Apple through the App Store, and DiverAxis Tech does not receive your full payment card details.

How we use information

Sharing of information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information only when needed to respond to your request, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or work with service providers who help us operate support and business functions under appropriate confidentiality obligations.

Data deletion and privacy choices

You can delete local BraveStep data by deleting saved items inside the app, removing the app from your device, or using iOS device management and backup settings.

Children's information

BraveStep is intended for use by parents and caregivers. It may help parents and caregivers store child-related support information locally on their own device. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through DiverAxis Tech servers in the current version of BraveStep.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when BraveStep changes or when legal, operational, or privacy requirements change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
